Cookie and Local Storage Policy

This document describes how browser-based data storage technologies are used on Nikolai Mamadaev’s personal portfolio website (hereinafter referred to as the “website”).

Who Is Responsible for the Website

Nikolai Mamadaev is the operator of the Site. For questions regarding data processing, please use the contact information in the “Contacts” section on the home page (Telegram, VKontakte, and email by copying the address using the button).

In the current version of the website, third-party advertising or analytics HTTP cookies are not enabled. The page markup does not contain analytics trackers (such as Yandex.Metrica or Google Analytics), which typically set their own cookies.

When the website is hosted on a server or behind a proxy, technical logs (such as server logs containing IP addresses and request times) may be processed by the hosting provider in accordance with its policies—this is not controlled by the website’s code.

Local Storage and Similar Browser Technologies

To improve your experience, the website stores small amounts of data on your device using the browser’s localStorage mechanism (this is not an HTTP cookie, but it functions similarly and is also considered client-side storage).

The following keys are used:

siteCookieConsentV1 Value accepted if you clicked “Accept” in the cookie notification; after that, the banner is hidden.

This data is not automatically sent to the website’s server: it remains only in your browser.

Retention Period

Data in localStorage is stored until you manually delete it (clear site data / completely clear browser data) or until the browser resets the storage according to its own rules.

By clicking “Accept” on the banner, you confirm that you have read this policy. If you do not click “Accept,” the banner remains visible; the website’s functionality is preserved as much as possible, but no record of your consent is created.

You can clear localStorage for this site at any time in your browser settings—this will reset the saved theme and the notification acceptance flag, and the banner may reappear.

Changes

The text of the policy may be updated as technologies on the site change. The current version is published on the “Cookie Policy” page at /cookie-policy.html relative to the site root.
